1852 Miners Cottage
Welcome to Spring Street. The home was built in 1852 by Irish immigrant Michael Slattery, who dealt in hay, fuel, and grain. In 2016, this historic home was elegantly restored, complete with modern amenities while keeping the aesthetic components of the original design. In 2019, it was awarded the highest honor by the Galena Historical Society recognized for its thoughtful renovation. This cottage-style home is located in the heart of Galena's historic district, just three blocks from Downtown Galena Main Street.
